Christina founded the business based on her love for animals and the continued need she saw for a quality, trustworthy and sincere in-home pet sitting business. Above all else is her true commitment to your loved ones health, happiness and well being. She recognized a natural and common sense decision to add Elder Care to the services offered by While You're Away as both are built on the same core values of love, empathy & dedication.
Christina's background includes working at an animal hospital where she started out as a receptionist. She soon realized her passion of caring for animals and through education and training was promoted to Veterinarian Technician. As a Vet Tech she handled and assisted with everything from intake of the sick or injured animal to assisting in surgeries. Christina also has experience working with numerous pet rescue organizations and is the proud owner a dog and a few cats. Over the years she has cared for and owned dogs, cats, birds, ferrets and fish.
Christina has also been the primary care-giving provider for her own parents as well as helping numerous friends.
Lastly, Christina brings 13+ years of professional experience with publicly & privately held companies including CSX railroad and Johns Manville.
